10th Meeting of the Austrian Meteorological Society

The 10th Meeting of the Austrian Meteorological Society (10. Österreichischer MeteorologInnentag) will take place on 5-6 June 2025.

The meeting serves to foster the exchange and contact between all individuals and institutions interested in atmospheric science and its fields of application. In particular, networking among institutions shall be promoted.

 

Program and Keynote Speakers

Four keynotes will give an in-depth view of this years area of focus: extreme weather

  • Douglas Maroun: Wet extremes, (climate) modeling perspective
  • Marina Dütsch: Moisture sources for wet extremes
  • Fiona Fix: From Heat Waves to Thunderstorms - The Impact and Properties of Atmospheric Deserts
  • Klaus Haslinger: Wet extremes - reactions of a national weather service using the example of the blow down of the Kamp reservoir

The conference is free of charge for ÖGM members. Non-members will be charged a registration fee of 50,00 € on site.
